What a mistake. I thought I would have access to download through my computer as we are not in the proprietory wireless whispernet area. Not so. Even though amazon says you can, in reality you can't, because as soon as you try to purchase a book to just download at a later date on mymanagekindle site, the purchase won't go through because you are not in Amazaon's recognized geographic area. This unit is useless in Canada and I am sending it back.Absolutely incredible

I received a Kndle DX for a fathers day gift. I have never owned a wireless reading device before. It was very easy to follow the instructions to set up and get started. These are the things I really like about the Kindle.
1. Built in dictionary
All you have to do is move the cursor to the left side of the word and presto
at the bottom of the screen the meaning pops up. This will improve your vocabulary 10 fold.
2. Download books, newspapers, periodicals easily.
I downloaded the Mysterious Island by Jules Verne for free. The price on new books is less than 1/2 what you would pay in print form. It is so easy to do
and it is fast.
3. Change font size
If you find paper books font too small buy a kindle. 5 different font sizes.
4. Highlight, add notes
It is very easy to highlight passages in a book add a note and save it.

If you are a person who likes to read and brouse in book stores and libraries buy a kindle DX. It makes buying books and looking up words so much easier. If you don't like to read much don't waste your money.

There are a few reasons I decided to go with the cover for my Kindle 2. The first was obvious - made the Kindle and the cover so they would most definitely work together well. There are, however, a few issues....

First the good - I like how it snaps into the Kindle at the spine, it's a great fit and I've never had my Kindle fall out of it. I like the soft interior, I feel like my screen is protected very well. The big selling point for me was how slim it is. It doesn't add much weight to the Kindle and it doesn't add much bulk.

The bad... It doesn't clasp closed. Even velcro or a snap would make me happy. It's always flopping open on me, I use a rubber band to keep it closed or a tie or something, but it's crazy that it doesn't snap closed or something. It also doesn't have some way to keep the Kindle against the back cover, so when you open it the wrong way, I feel like I'm going to break it from the hinge. It also has a funky smell the first week or two, whatever process they use in manufacturing, well - stinks.

Overall though, I'm happy with my choice. It protects my favorite toy without being obtrusive.Keeps Kindle Safe

Don't get me wrong: As evidenced by my 5-star review, I'm thrilled with the price and results from the three cables I bought here, and the company I bought from was lightning quick in shipping and soliciting feedback. Beholding 1080p upscaling on your new flat screen and surround sound for the first time is a revelatory experience.

Still, selling something for pennies and then making the shipping nearly 20X more expensive so that you can't lose on the inevitable waves of returns (I may have gotten lucky on the quality) seems like a back-door method of moving huge quantities. Well, at least it was a very transparent one, and again, it worked out well for ME.

This is the way to do it on the cheap, though. If you're looking to come out ahead, just buy larger quantities of these cables and it should work out still better than if you pay big for name brands, leaving you with extras for expansion to boot.

Like a lot of other reviews, the faceplate on my Kindle is cracked from the upper clasp. I don't know if this happened when I put the Kindle in the cover or if it happened later. I wouldn't have bought the cover if I'd known there was a risk of this happening.Don't buy this cover!

The attachment brackets that insert in the Kindle bent (so customer service told me) and caused two cracks in my Kindle case. will not cover this even though they have investigated the issue and know what the problem is. I got no help from customer service at all and they are still selling the cover. Poor customer service for this issue.

Otherwise an excellent solution for a driver who uses more than one vehicle, I killed my Garmin Nuvi while pulling a hurried U-turn. The Garmin shot across the dashboard and struck the passenger-side door. It now will only boot-up only to shut right back down. If you have a choice, use the suction cup. I own the Isignia DTV Converter box too and I have to say beyond the VCR timer function, This box is as cheap and crappy made as they come. You have a timer but basically no OSG to view whats coming on. So no way to know what time set timer for. In order to use the VCR timer, you best subscribe to TV Guide or online listings. I give this box a F- and will pack this in closet in case of Emergency or trade for another box if possible. BLAHHHvery pleased

i was looking for a converter box with good reviews. this converter not only had good reviews, but it had more reviews over all than the other boxes listed. after reading the reviews i figured i may as well. i wasn't going to be able to watch any tv with out paying a ridiculous cable bill. i'm really happy with my purchase for the following reasons:

1. i got it at a great price. when i originally looked it was almost $43, then it was decreased to $40. plus free shipping!

2. it got to me much more quickly than the estimated delivery date.

3. super fast and easy to hook up. i had all the cables hooked up, and channels scanned in less than 20 minutes.

4. excellent picture quality. everything looks very clear.

5. reception. i now pick up at least 12 more channels than i had with analog and antenna reception.

over all i am really happy with my purchase. i saw a lot of complaints about the remote being poor quality, but i've seen no problems so far. it's really light weight, but it works perfectly fine.

i would highly recommend this box to anyone looking for their first, or additional digital converter box.

I own this product, but if you are looking for a Kindle light there is a better one available, the Mighty Bright TravelFlex LED Book Light. I like it a lot better for my Kindle 2.

Here is what I like about the TravelFlex:
-Thinner clip fits the Kindle better (it fits perfectly on the spine of the Kindle 2 cover)
-1 AAA battery instead of 3 makes it easier to use on the Kindle and easier to bring spare power if you think you might run out soon
-I only ever use 1 LED at a time with my Kindle
-Lighter weight keeps it from sliding around and making the Kindle feel out of balance (especially when reading in bed).

This is a great light, but for the reasons above I would recommend getting the Mighty Bright TravelFlex LED Book Light for a Kindle.Book Light

This is a neat little light that I use with my Kindle 2. It clips & holds well and the adjustable light strengths are perfect for use. I can use it in bed without disturbing a partner. The light is very focused so it won't veer off into outside space. I've bought several models of book lights and this one is by far the best. It has the best ease of use I've known; its adjustability is quite excellent.

The 760 is a replacement for my stolen 750. I wanted the 760 but I believe it was about $750.00 last year when I got my 750. So in May when my 750 was stolen I took a look at .com and was thrilled that I could get the 760 for about $200.00. It is a great unit overall, my complaints are as follows. 3-D mode is cool to look at but unless you drive 20 miles per hour all the time it is not useful at all. In 3-D mode you drive past a street and then about 5 seconds later the Garmin catches up. Just set it to up or north and normal resolution and you will be just fine. It is not a video game so you do not need to set it to max. My second and main complaint is the unit came with the FM traffic receiver. I live in Boise, ID and we have no FM traffic coverage here. I purchased the MSN Direct and it is great. I do not get the traffic updates here but all the other tools are cool. Just go to the Garmin web sight and check your coverage before you buy one with a receiver cord. I think the 780 comes with the MSD Direct and it is only about $20.00 more than the 760. I guess my last complaint would be the Bluetooth. I had it set up with my phone, and if I am walking around talking on my phone and I get too close to my car the Garmin and my phone will connect and I am still about 50 feet from my car. I had to take my Garmin off the list on my phone.

As far as navigation this is a great unit. I have the newest maps and in some cases it has streets that are not there yet. But with the MSN direct it is awesome in large cities. It will let me know about delays and reroute me if needed. I have more than enough spots to save locations. You can click on your icon and it will let you know where you are. The addresses are a little off but I think that is common for most GPS units unless you spend big time money.

The gps unit works very well. Even though it's a discontinued model, it does everything I need and more. It wasn't discontinued due to problems. It was only discontinued because its successor has additional features like lane assist and MSN connections I don't need, and that's only free for a limited amount of time, and I don't make use of it so the trial perios would expire and I wouldn't re-subscribe, so I'd end up with a gps that provided virtually the same things the 760 does.

The interface takes some getting used to, especially if you are used to using TomTom gps, which is what I upgraded from. Some of the "easter eggs" are interesting and useful. Easter eggs are hidden, unpublished features, like on the 760 you can press the satellite strenght indicator for a few seconds and a screen will open showing you the individual satellites' status.

I just bought one of these for my Canon A590. Seeemed like a really good deal for a 4GB SDHC Class 6 card. Performed well for a few months then "BAM!" - all pictures were lost. Tried several image recovery tools and recovered about 40% of the media I had acquired over the past week. That's 60% of my "memories" I lost which are worth a lot more than this piece of trash. Put a little extra money in something you know is reliable. If anyone even mentions data loss in a review, stay away!
